Grooves to Garba beats in Navratri
With the arrival of colorful festival of Navratri, its time to experience the sublime aura of divinity with music and dance.
The fervor of festival has already drenched the students and staff of SITM donned it vibrant chaniya-cholis and kurta have started grooving to the dandiya beats. Navratri, held in honour of Hindu Goddess Durga, is celebrated over a period of nine days where thousands of youths dance the night away in traditional costumes.
The traditional Gujrati lehengas with bright colors and traditional sequence is the first choice of girls for the ‘dandiya nights’. While girls flaunt their beautiful lehengas boys choose to go ethnic with traditional Gujurati kurta and dhoti. Folk dancers also perform traditional dance on various Garba and Dandiya events organized.
